Internet Puppy Killer Captured?

This past Monday, August 30, early in the morning, IDA staff spotted on the internet a deeply disturbing video – a young girl had been filmed tossing live newborn puppies into a fast moving river. There was no indication of where or when the act had occurred. We called an emergency staff meeting and decided to do whatever we could to help catch the killer.
IDA’s Communications Team and Investigative Team that included a staff cruelty investigator, a linguist and a private detective, got to work researching and working our international contacts, including activists in neighboring Croatia, and we offered a reward for information leading to her arrest, prosecution, and conviction. We immediately reposted the video and circulated it around the world – it received over 60,000 views in four days. We issued a news release and spread it across Europe, since various elements of the video gave it a “European feel” and an earlier poster of the video felt he had identified the river as one in Bosnia.
We received dozens of tips through our Twitter and Facebook accounts and via e-mail.
We’re happy to report that a girl believed to be the perpetrator was caught today by police in Bosnia. The suspect is from the central Bosnian town of Bugojno. We’ll continue to follow this story and do whatever we can to ensure this individual, if she is indeed guilty, receives the maximum punishment allowed under Bosnian law. It appears that, under Bosnian law, she faces a fine of from $19 (US) to $6,400.

I wanted to share my story with you guys about my puppy. The day my puppy was born it died caused by premature birth. It was a sad day time and nicely i couldnt even give her a name. Very sad day for me.
Humans are animals too. We must show compassion for all living creatures, no matter how sickening their actions. This girl was obviously acting out unresolved abuse of her own. She needs a doctor, not a punishment.
Cruelty to animals is the first sign of a psychopath so I hope she is sorted out before she does anything else to harm animals or humans!!!
omg, $19 is the starting price to pay for 5 or 6 puppies getting killed? That’s just not right, they need to put her in Jail, and fine her as much as they can go up too!! But I’m sure if she did this she probably has no money and will get away with it, which will be so bad. No one should get away with what this girl did, and they should give her the max sentence!!!!!

I can NOT believe $19?? WTF?? She should get the MAXIMUM PENALTY of $6400 plus JAIL TIME and NEVER EVER allowed to be near ANY animals!! and she should be publicly shamed in her home town so everyone knows who she is!! She is evil!!!!

She should be given the maximum punishment, and maximum punishment should be increased, to see that something like this never occurs again. It’s heartless and beyond cruel. Anyone filming or associated with a cruel act like this should also be prosecuted.
to see someone so young and so cruel is disturbing to say the least.she needs to be punished. it appears she takes joy in killing.very scary. .i am a rescue volunteer in ny and we have our share of very cruel cases.but this is just plain evil and sick.i look forward to finding out she is in jail and paying a hefty fine.and yes her parents need to be hide their faces in shame for raising such an evil child.thank you for the update and god bless all of you for your efforts to fight cruelty.

I’m very happy she was caught. That girl needs serous conseling and more than just a fine. she is heatless and will do it again if not punishes the right way.
I hope that she receives what she deserves, besides the fine she has to pay they should put her in a kind of brain rehabilitation program that is what she really needs. TO THE TEAM AND PERSONS WHO ORGANIZED THIS PERSECUTION, THANKS WELL DONE.

With a smile on her face, in my opinion, this is a person that has mental illness and needs serious help before she hurts another animal or next, a person. Aren’t there Psych wards in Bosnia too?
I for one don’t care how ‘young’ she is or claims to be, in America we charge minors as adults all the time. There is no excuse for this and the sooner she is publicly outed, revealed and shamed the better. Evil is personified in this video and society must be protected from this pathetic excuse for a human being.

The internet in incredible! It has helped stop an obviously troubled child. We don’t know what caused her to do this — perhaps she is a victim of some type of abuse. I hope she gets the appropriate help she needs. P.S. We have to love people too and know they sometimes behave badly because of their environment.

Hooray!! I am so excited that she was caught. I am absolutely amazed at how quickly she was arrested thanks to IDA! You guys are amazing! She should be punished to the ABSOLUTE FULLEST extent of the law and then some. People like that end up being serial killers, she should be put away for life!

She should get *at least* one year in jail for each puppy she tortured to death. And her parents need to step it up and do a better job. Sorry but i was raised to know that what this girl did is plain evil.

Thanks so much for your hard work to track down this destructive child. And thanks to the hubris of cruel people who are clearly not smart enough to realize that the video they were proud enough to post could get them in trouble.
I think there should be a law where these people get exactly what they did to these poor, innocent animals! I just can’t understand how someone can be so cruel, she’s definitely a “human” with no feelings, a total pshycopath!!!
